Workout :: York Street

Well the York Street gym was pretty busy but it’s still the new year right. I love the new people having no clue that when someones stuff it all at an aparatus and their notebook is actually at the base of it and you’ve just turned your back for the 30 seconds or so recovery, they feel it’s just OK to come and reset the machine and just jump in.  Ah the new people, what are we 3rd week of January, they should be gone in about another week or two and then the gym is all back to normal for another year.
Anyhow enough about that, was over a Jerome’s having a couple Rickard’s reds and pizza feeling like a lazy ass so decided to head to gym before getting on the highway. I had a couple hours to kill so off I went for a workout. I did another intense workout of supersets working on back (wide grip chins), chest (overhead press with toe catches and skipping), arms (cable curls with kettleball supersets and skipping). Also did triceps doing reverse cable and rope pulldowns. Abs were toe catchs, hanging leg raises, planks and side planks. All in all it was a great workout and later some wine and a nice quiet night.

Little Sleep :: OVERTIME

Picture 131Well I completely forgot about a programming project (scripting) that was due last Friday and was asked for it yesterday. Oh boy talk about pressure. It was a multipart extraction script with a heap of subprocedure and special formatting. Arrr! I was in the office till 1:30 in the morning and back at it today at 7am. I’ve just finished it and I am completely bagged. I sure hope there are no problems with it at the other end. I’m probably going to take today as a rest day from working out as well. Legs are killing me from the killer leg workout two days ago and the run on the same day so they need a good day of recovery. I noticed my office looks like hell so it’s going to need a good cleaning. Figured I’d take a pic of the background (snowboard, mountain bike, running clothes on table, my telescope). Looks more like an bachelor pad.

Relationships :: last entry

hearts Well this is my last post regarding my relationship in the sence of discussing it’s ups and downs online. It got a bit rocky there and I did hurt the one I loved out of fear. Anyhow I’ll get a lifetime to make up for it and hopefully that is enough time. So with that, I’m excited to enjoy it to it’s potential. This is the last entry of this type…

Workout :: legs sore today

Well my legs were sore today from yesterdays run and the evening workout. They are sore in a good way not pain like something wrong pain, good workout pain. Anyhow today I did some back (wide grip chins) with skipping and cross cable for three supersets of each. After that some barbell overhead presses with superset of toe catches and skipping. Following that it was time for some dumbell curls, with elbow to knee and skipping supersets. Lastly were some hanging leg raises with reverse cable pressdown. Was a great workout and glad I got through it. Was hoping to have some great decision on the grand scheme of things… Other than knowing I f%$#ed up, what can I add!

Broken voice

Something I’ve learned to do somewhere along this journey

2009 Running Totals

Forgot to include my running totals for 2009 so here they are. As I’ve just gone for my first run after a break it’s time to start keeping track for 2010. All Totals are in Kilometers and the annual total was 1136 KM. I also went through 3 pair of shoes and have had some running related prostate issues YIKES…

Birthday :: meh

HappyBirthdayGoth2Well it’s another birthday and “You’ll have to excuse me, I’m not at my best”. You see I just have such a hard time facing reality and all that it entails. It’s been a crazy week and responsibility scares the hell out of me. I’ve had housing offers and those scare me, I was about to enbark on the fight of my life with my Ex and it only forced me to realize that I will most likely care about her for the rest of my days. I always cave when it comes to her and making sure that her and the kids are ok at the expense of my happiness. I just can’t focus on me when I think about them so much. I think I have a hard time being away from my apt so much just in case they might need me. I know it’s foolish but hey. Well this has gotten a bit off topic from the main topic, my birthday… It’s my birthday and for the first time in years I spend it alone this morning. What a fool you see!!

Workout :: change of ideas “I’m a fool you see…”

Well I needed to get out of here to get a workout in to be alright with my decision. I’m not ok with it and regret it already but what is done is done and you can’t go back. I guess it’s a good time to throw in a quote “Oh, if I didn’t now I’m a fool you see,..No one know this more than me. As I come clean. Nothing you would take,.. everything you gave. Hold me till I die,.. Meet you on the other side.”.  Anyhow the only way to go is forward. So I went to the gym for a good workout and did shoulders (shoulder press and lateral raises), back (bent over barbell row), legs (hack squat, curls, calf raises). Also did some abs and tricps (roman chair leg raises and dips). Was good quick workout and now I feel better, with the workout, not my decision.

Birthday :: Compass

punkrockersWell here comes that question again, when you turn 1 year old what are you celebrating? Having been on the planet for  a year. So the day after you have celebrated your first birthday you are therefore beginning your second year on the planet. Taking that point of view tomorrow will be my 39th birthday and the day after I will be beginning my YIKES! OK time to shut up. HAHAAHA. Anyhow All is good, the girls are taking me out for supper tomorrow night with Robin so that will be fun and then contiue along my merry way in version 2.0 of Serge. This has been quite the year, and so much has happened. This time last year I was just getting back from NY City and Florida and this year I’m trying to figure out where I’m going, my direction. Anyhow I’ll make sure to take lots of pics tomorrow of my little B-Day festivities.

Running Log :: first run 2010

Well this was my first run of 2010. I was laying up to let my leg recover and also because of urology related issues but I have another apt with the Dr. on Thursday so figured why not run. I really needed to clear my head. I have no idea why I choose to be alone, why I run (not literaly) why I can’t just let myself be content. Well running didn’t give me the answers but it sure did feel good to run and for a great portion of the run I was thinking of nothing but running and my surroundings. Wish I would have had a camera with me it was really nice out, little snow left and people were actually ice fishing. There were a few small iceburgs in the connection between the two bays. Anyhow great run for 34:36 for 4 miles. and burning around 500 calories.
