Well had a good cardio session today, legs were a bit more relaxed. Also I find when I read on the elliptical the time passes much faster. Anyhow I went for 45 minutes burning 850 calories and covering a distance of 5.5 miles. I felt great after and hope I get a chance to workout and possibly run tonight.

Packing 101
Well today was packing 101 with your instructor Dan the man! hahaahaha. Anyhow headed down to practice some packing and was there till around 10. What crappy weather! Anyhow that is why there was no workout after, was there to late. I’ll have to get a quick workout in tomorrow after packing that’s for sure, I’m starting to turn soft. I forgot to bring camera so there is only one pic at the moment. There will be more when I remember to bring the camera!
Workout :: lunch cardio
Well it appears that someone in our office has been complaining about the amount of time we take for lunch. At the most we take 15 min more but also don’t take coffee or SMOKE breaks during the day. What ever! So today I did 32 minutes of elliptical which was fine as I don’t feel super hot today. Did 4 miles in my 32 minutes for about 650 calories. I’ll get another workout in this evening anyhow!
Workout :: Tabata
Well I was reading in my body building magazine about a workout program called Tabata. This workes on the principal of working out two body parts at less weight with 20 seconds of workout with 10 seconds of rest for 8 sets each exercise. You take 2 minute break in between each set. Anyhow I was only able to do 2 of the 3 chest exercises (nothing left for the pushups) and did abs (two exercies) and was absolutly exhausted. I’m going to try this over the next four weeks and see where I get to.
Skydiving :: Cessna Load one
Well got on the first load today of the new skydive season. Up to 10,500 and tried to hang off the wing, didn’t last long and the photo didn’t take. Winds were strong but I was excited once it was get up and go. I was last one out (of three jumpers) and had a great jump. I managed to get into sitfly three times in the jump and hold it mind you no video I know Mario… Anyhow was a great day for it and happy to have landed at the DZ.
Kids Soccer at Ryerson
Well took the girls with Robin and her father to soccer saturday morning at Ryerson. This was quite funny. I did managed to take part in the activity so it was somewhat amusing. I was very impressed with Nyah’s handling of the ball, she can really walk with with it, pass it and try and take it away from people. Airlie has a blast and it’s great that all three get to go together. Anyhow took a few photos but just with camera phone so not great.
Running Log :: 8 miles
Well headed out for an 8 mile run this morning and try and clear my head. Lately that isn’t a very easy task. Anyhow very good run and really pleased with my legs. I had some beer last night and was hoping it wouldn’t affect my run. I also spent a great deal of time looking up at the sky wondering if I’ll be jumping. I think I might just stick around and spend some time with the girls today. Anyhow I ran 8 miles in 1:07:18 for an average pace of 8:24 minute miles. Felt great. We’ll see how my left foot feels tomorrow. Also I ran in shorts and T-shirt, woohoo the great weather is back.
Lunch at the WestTown on Locke
Well havn’t been to West Town in quite some time. Seeing as Dan is back in the country he and I decided to go for lunch and even a pint! Had the turkey club which is just amazing at this place. It used to come with a great coleslaw but they’ve since removed it stating nobody ate it. Now if you want it you have to pay a buck and it’s even smaller than it was. I opted for a side of Rickard’s Red. Was also great the windows were open and people were on patios as it was a great spring day. I was in a T-shirt.
Wine :: Barefoot
Well I think I need to take a little wine course so I could properly describe wines as I do like to try new ones all the time (I’m a red fan by the way). Yesterday I had this nice Cabernet Sauvignon produced by Barefoot. It was amazing, great auroma, amazing taste and pleasant aftertaste. Now if I new more about what it was I was tasting I would tell you it tastes of this, of that, berries, carmel etc. In reality I haven’t, don’t know how and I think it will be a task of mine this summer to better inform myself.
Running Log :: 4 miler
Well after that buffet lunch I just had to get out and run and the heartburn from the curry was horrible. Anyhow did a 4 mile run and my legs and feet are very tired. I did the run in 34:49 for an average pace of 8:42 minute miles. What a nice night, got to wear the shorts outside for the run and the sun was shining. Just great, glad to be running again.
