Workout :: hard workout

Well had a great workout tonight. Didn’t really feel like going to gym and was going to skip it. Managed to drag my butt out the door and now I’m home and so don’t regret it. Anyhow did the following chest (Incline and decline press), back (wide grip chins), legs & Shoulders (Overhead Press with Lunge), abs/cardio (all exercises 3 sets with skipping in between each set, toe catches, elbow to knee, plank, knee to chest on ball). The did hard ab workout with weight (leg raises — 15 lbs X 3 Sets, dips, squat with front plate, weighted reverse crunch).
That was tonights workout. Felt great and tomorrow will be 2X to the gym, lunch cardio and evening workout.

Cardio :: Awesome

springWell awesome session today! Legs started out very tired and really didn’t know if I’d be able to keep up and also set the level on the elliptical at 9. So stated out and the first 15 minutes seemed to take forever but after that got into a good groove. Kept the RPM above 90 for most of the workout and went for 7.5 miles (so it says) in 60 minutes burning 1200 calories. Very intense and now I feel I can get into the weekend! Spring has sprung.

Workout :: quick one

Well it was a quick workout tonight. Did arms (tricep machine, dips and dumbell curls), shoulders (shoulder press and lateral raises), chest (dips and incline press), abs (weight reverse crunch — up to 100lbs, leg raises and used weight this time 17lbs, elbow to knee), front plate quats for both quads and shoulders and core strength. Felt great after the workout and the abs really got pushed hard. Some Starbucks after with some great conversation!

Cardio :: Elliptical 1 hour

Well got the elliptical back up to an hour today. Legs feel much less beat up than the previous two days, guess it’s time for a leg workout tonight then. Anyhow it was a great session giong hard the entire time. Calories were about 1150 burnes, for about 7 miles. Looking forward to running again tomorrow. Key right now is to keep the good eating up and the workouts to at least 4X week.

Running Log :: yes you read it right!!!

Well I went for my first run tonight since Feb 4th. I know I said I would wait 8 weeks but just can’t do it. It’s been about 6 and that’s long enough. Anyhow it wasn’t an intense run, I ran for 18 minutes and walked the last two. Legs were heavy to begin with from my cardio at lunch and a quick bikeride after work. Anyhow I’m happy to have done it and am looking forward to writing the words running log once again.

Cardio :: elliptical session OUCH!

Well my legs were extremely sore today from the overhead barbell squat. I got on the elliptical machine and my legs were very tight. My glutes were even very tight. Anyhow I was going to push it through for at least 50 min but decided against it. Lay it up at 30 min and 650 cals so that i can get a very light run in tonight, 10 min tops at about a 10 minute mile. Just add a bit every time I go out (minute or two) and see where that leads me. Left foot still tender in the arch. Anyhow did 30 minutes for about 650 calories and about 4 miles, level 9.

RECOVERED WEB SITE

Well for those of you that visit regularly you notice that I’ve had no website for a week. I have learned my lesson about backing up my webserver… What a nightmare.. Thanks to the SUSE install CD I was eventually able to mount and get access to my filesystem and move everything to my memory stick. I’ve become competant enough in MYSQL, LINUX etc. etc. etc. to get my site back online. WOOHOO. I’ve done quite a bit of working out and such this week and will try and catch my blog up to the best of my recolection.

Workout :: feel it all coming together

Well I’m really feeling all these workouts starting to pay off. Need to start increasing the weight a bit and change up the workout routine. Muscle has memory you know!!! Did chest (incline and decline press), biceps (dumbell curl), shoulders (shoulder press and lateral raises), ab workout again with skipping between each set (3 sets toe catchs, 3 sets elbow to knee, 3 sets on ball — knee to chest, leg raises with DIPS and plate squat with 25lb plate) and to finish off tricep extensions.

Cardio :: Elliptical session

Did a hard elliptical session today. I’m really getting sick of this and would really like to start running again. My cardio level is way up and I’ve got tramendous energy now. Did 50 minute elliptical session for 1050 calories. Doing these on level 10 lately. I do notice there is a difference on the levels between the two gyms. This is like level 9 at upper wentworth.
