Well tonights run was a right off. It was supposed to be an 11 mile long run (relax week) but I only did 9. There was some tendon pain in the right leg and also I still felt very tired from what ever I was fighting off as well as the fact I haven’t been eating great for the same above reason. I just bonked. I figured it was better to lay up and save my legs for this weeks long run. Supposed to be a 4, 8, 4 and 17 mile week respectively. Well see how it goes. I alwo had a very sore stomach and some cramping. We’ll have to see how the rest of this week plays out. Think I’ll need the hot top next door.

Running Log :: Mercier et MJ
BONNE FÊTE MJ! (30ANS HAHAHA)
Running Log :: 7 miles
Well really wasn’t in the mood to run today but you have to do what you have to do. To be honest was in the mood to pig out at a buffet hahaha. Anyhow ran inside as I’m really being careful to not overdue the leg and and I can’t get to the trails before dark during the week. Started out really with my mind in the wrong place, thinking this is going to be a long hour, so not in the mood, etc. All the head games the mind plays. Anyhow the first half passed by pretty quiclky so ended up finding a nice comfortable pace and just held it. Kept the pace down as this is a recovery week and just got my mileage done. Ran 7 miles in 59:15 for an average pace of 8:38 minute miles. Nothing fancy, but hey, it got done!
Workout :: @HOME
Well worked out at home again tonight. Pushed pretty hard and just wan’t in the mood to go down to the gym. I went at lunch to get my run in and just wasn’t in the mood to go back for the workout. Did arms (barbell curl, dumbell curl 21′s, rope pulldowns (triceps), close grip bench press) as well as abs (hanging leg raises and hanging side raises). Feeling pretty burned out after. Tomorrow 7 mile run at lunch and another workout in the evening (legs).
Running Log :: Inside 4 miler
Well off the the gym once again at lunch time. Trying to get my mileage in and also try and make it quality. Today was a 4 miler as this is a reduced week. Next week it’s time to tack on some more mileage. Anyhow there is a little tingle still above left ankle but nothing serious, still left over from last years goofy challenge. As long as I slow my pace during the reduced week mileage I’m good. So today ran inside again and did 4 miles in 33:25 for an average pace of 8:21 minute miles. Very uneventful run, the 4 milers have become very easy. This weeks run are 4, 7 and 4 miles respectively and long run is 11. Next week we go to 4, 8 and 4 and 17 miles for the long run. Also worth mentioning is how much nicer the runs are when my abs are tight from hard workouts the day before. I’m going to make sure to do a good ab session the night before my marathon.
Hard Workout :: @Home
Ok I was going to go to the gym to workout tonight but I was ready early and the place is always way to busy before 9:30 pm. So I used the home gym which also gives me a good workout. Sometimes is just getting motivated to do it at home. Anyways I did a really hard workout tonight (chest — decline and incline press, flies; back — wide grip chins and bent over dumbell rows; shoulders — front and lateral raises; abs — hip up, hanging leg raises, tic-tocs and lying leg raises with medicin ball). Just burnt out now and going to do some surfing and reading. Tomorrow running day (4 miles).
Running Log :: 15 miles (24.14KM)
Well I didn’t want to beat up my legs today so decided to keep the run inside. I also skiped my 4 miler two days ago to get a little recovery in as I really pushed hard for my half marathon last weekend. Anyhow today was a 15 mile run on a treadmill. That is very booring as you can imagine 2+ hours running on the spot, same pace, same view same everything. Had the IPOD loaded up with tunes and a new pair of Saucony Triumps’ to add a bit of much needed cushion. Anyhow the run went very well, keeping a conservative pace of 8:28 minute miles for the entire run. It took me 2 hours and 7 minutes to finish. Felt great! Tonight have to paint the dining room, see how I feel after that.
Running Log :: run, workout, burnt out!
Man am I ever spent. I have nothing left! Did a 7 mile run and my legs are still recovering from the weekend run. I’m keeping the pace down to make sure I don’t injure my legs. Did the 7 miles in 59:30 for an average pace of 8:30 minute mile. The last 20 minutes were quite difficult. I’m very much looking forward to my little 4 miler tomorrow. Did a workout right after the run, chest, back, biceps, and abs (with dips thrown in between the leg raises). All I want to do now is get to bed and begin my recovery for tomorrows run. This weekend is a 15 mile run.
Running Log :: 4 miles inside
Well I had to get a 4 miler in today and the legs are still recoverying from the run on the weekend. The first mile today was hell, legs very heavy. It started to loosen up but that only lasted till the third mile. Really had to work on form and making sure that even though I’m tired my form didn’t suffer. I kept the pace down to make sure I could maintain my form through the run. Anyhow for the stats, 4 miles in 34:17 for an average pace of 8:34 minute miles. Did some good stretching after to make sure that it all releases well. Might have to go for an active release session.
Workout :: still recoverying from run
Well no cardio tonight. I get back to running tomorrow after my 2 days recovery and have to say the legs are still a bit sore. Will keep it to a nice 8:20 minute mile. Anyhow went down for my workout and pushed pretty hard. Started out with a good chest workout (decline press, incline press, pec dec), followed up by back (wide grip chins and bent over one arm rows), then on to shoulders (rear delt, shoulder press and later cable) and then triceps (cable press down and revers cable), preacher curls for biceps and lastly abs (weighted revers crunch — 75lbs and leg raises). I was exhausted after the workout and went home to catch the rest of the election coverage. OBAMA by a landslide!!!
