Well finished off my first full week back. Ran six miler today. Right knee needs some work though. Was very nice weather. Great way to finish off the month of September. It looks like it’s going to be another great fall to train for Disney! Todays run temperature was 20C(68F) which is very good for end of September and next week is only going to get hotter.
Ran the 6 miles in 47:56 for a pace of 7:59 (wow just under the 8 min mile literaly). Legs felt good thethe hills were taking toll on right knee. I’m icing it lots and it’s recovering well. Can’t wait to start on second week back. Keep you posted who ever is reading the site. I see some people are reading it. Drop me a comment!

Running Log :: First full week back over
Running Log :: Along the Lake
Well ran along the lake tonight, bit cool and cloudy but very nice. Ran without the neopreen knee support and it felt great. Bit of pain on the left ankleĀ running up a hill with a lean to the right but subsided quick enough. Legs fell great so I’m looking forward to Saturday to see how a few more miles go.
Ran 3 miles in 23:23 for a 7:48 minute mile. Not going to concentrate on time for this marathon because the last thing I need is to get injured again!
Running Logs :: Day two of first week back
Wow 27C (80.6F) at 7pm at the end of September. Well bit sore from yesterdays run. Incredible how much you loose in such a short period of time. Doing nothing else didn’t help. Anyhow did 3 miler again tonight in 25:02 for a pace of 8:21 min mile.
Running Log :: This will be first full week in a month
Well this will be my first full week in a month. Ran 3 miles tonight. It’s a beautiful September night, 20C (68F) which is just incredible for 8pm at the end of September. Legs and knee felt pretty good. Breathing went well. Ran an 8:16 min mile pace for the 3 miles for a total time of 24:48. I think that is pretty good for a relaxing jog to get the legs back into it. Tomorrow hope to hit the gym and start back to working out also, need to get of the extra 15 lbs I packed on recently
Running Log :: First one in almost a month
Well after almost a month layoff due to injury (knee and shins) I took my first steps towards the goofy challenge. Wasn’t long run, don’t need to burn them out again. Baby steps… Anyhow I ran 1.5 mile in 13:09 for a pace of 8:46. We’ll try and keep that pace for the next week or two till I get to my 3 and 5 mile mid week runs.
Legs feel good today, knee isn’t bad either. Hip a bit sore (flexors) have to really work on stretching routine this time around and get my range o f motion back!
Running Log :: Or lack of
Well as you can see there has been no running for a few weeks now. I’m still recovering from sore knee and shins. I want a full recovery before I start my 18 week climb to Disney Marathon Weekend and the Goofy Challenge. I am hopping to get back by the end of the week or the weekend. Couple 1 milers just to warm up the legs and then next week start with a few 15-20 min runs. Get the legs good and broken in and recovered a few times. We’ll go from there.
